Gardens Grown Using Hydroponics Grow Faster

Just like a garden grown in soil the plants in a garden that is grown using homemade hydroponics must have light, oxygen and nutrients.

So if all these factors are equal why do hydroponics gardens grow faster than traditional gardens? The answer really comes down to where your plants are expending their energy.

In soil your plants have to grow an extensive root system to search for nutrients to process. The energy needed to grow this root system is not being spent on growing foliage or fruit. This large root mass is not necessary in your homemade hydroponics system because the plant roots are literally awash in nutrients so the plant can go about it’s main business, growing your crop.

Another reason that gardens grown with hydroponics grow faster is plant stress. Because you have constructed your homemade hydroponics system with care and tend your garden lovingly your plants have all the nutrients, light and oxygen they need. They are not under stress, they can just get on with growing.
